Can you learn all the lies in the world? The King of Syria dedicated his life to it. But everyone is born with seven lies and seven locusts, who could possibly count them all? Join contemporary storyteller Clare Muireann Murphy as she delves into the power of lies. Inspired by Rafik Schami’s book: Damascus Nights and by the recent events in Syria.

Chantel Mierau has generously agreed to the even taking place within her exhibition, Homemaking, which will be open for viewing until 7pm.

Clare is storyteller in residence at the Centre for Creative Writing and Oral Cultures at the University of Manitoba this Spring Semester. She returns to London (UK) in May 2013. Originally from Ireland Clare combines the influences of her childhood: theatre and literature with the rich art of storytelling. A physically dynamic storyteller who loves to play with words.

Tickets are $5 at the door. Seating is limited.
