The Project Room program is a service to the community offered to members and other arts organizations to utilize the existing physical space and resources of the centre for artistic development. No fee is paid nor charged for this service. Only proposals from members in good standing and non-profit arts organizations will be considered.
By definition, the Project Room is a program that provides our physical space, resource centre and woodshop to individual members for artistic development, research and/or documenting works. It is also a space available to other Artist-Run Centres to use for workshopping, community work or project development.
The Project Room is an ideal place for emerging artists and those with works in progress for professional development, offering resources that are otherwise inaccessible for the launch of new works or professional art careers.
THE PROJECT ROOM IS NOT AN EXHIBITION SPACE AND MAY NOT BE USED AS ONE. Therefore there may not be a ‘reception’, ‘launch’ or any other promotion of the project as a public exhibition.

Facilities:
is housed on the 2nd floor of 290 McDermot Avenue (between Princess and King) in the historic Winnipeg Exchange district and is open to the general public from 12 noon – 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Admission to the gallery is free.
Ace’s space continues to evolve in response to ongoing projects and programs. Ace maintains 2 adjoining presentation spaces, as well as an interactive 2nd floor stairwell area, a workshop space and a resource.

The Resource Centre is an area of our gallery dedicated to increase access to the tools and materials of artistic research.
will endeavor to maintain the Resource Centre and add to it on an ongoing basis as funding and resources permit. the Resource Centre serves our members and the general community in two distinct ways. Firstly, members have access to computer equipment [computer, scanner- both flat and slide, printer, burner, internet] that enables them to conduct research for professional development and prepare portfolios.
